The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Possibly a weird request, but I'm writing a report for uni about engineering management, and one of the things it asks us to talk about is the attempt by the workers to sue the company (using Civil Law) in order to address the safety problems at the Hoover Dam, and what legal principle was being used.
The problem I'm having is actually finding record of the lawsuit itself. The first that I've heard of was by an Ed Crouse, suing over I believe carbon monoxide poisoning in the tunnels.
Now, I'll do the actual work myself, but I was wondering if there was anyone who perhaps knew the actual case name and date, or a link to it, so I can look it up?
Well on a quick search I found Littlefield v. United States, 927 F.2d 1099. The employee of a contractor who was hired for repair work on the dam was injured in a mud slide. He didn't sue the company though, he sued the U.S. who then impleaded the contractor.
