So currently I've got a 2gb Firefly Jumpdrive from Lexar. It work well enough, but is slow as hell.
I'm looking for a good, fast flash drive with at least 8GB. I'm thinking of running Parallels off of it so I need it to not just it needs to be quick and nimble.

With so many companies selling such varying quality of flash drives is their a good site for thumb drive review out there?

I ran across these drives over at slickdeals
Kingston Data Traveler
Cosair Voyager

This one seems pretty solid, but a little more expensive than the other two
OCZ Rally2

I've always been a big fan of the cruzer micro line from SanDisk

Pretty small and a metal enclosure. The only real downside is that the cap is kind of hard to lose, but i've been using a 512mb version with no cap for about 3 years now bouncing around inside my backback

I've got a ton of these damn things of varying sizes and speeds and the only one I would wholeheartedly recommend is the OCZ Rally2.

I have the exact one you linked to there and it is FAST. Plus the aluminum casing makes it feel very sturdy and solid.

I had an OCZ drive that crapped out within a month. Take that for what it's worth.

I've had two Corsair Flash Voyagers and those things are built like tanks and are ridiculously reliable. I dropped one of them from my second story apartment and it still worked. Highly recommended.

I have that OCZ drive in the 2GB variety and I wouldn't recommend it. I've had mine a couple years now I think, and several months after buying it the outer shell came loose, so that often when I go to remove the drive from a computer the shell pulls off, leaving the usb connector and chip still in the computer and me with the empty shell in my hand.

I guess on the plus side its performed its data transfer duties without error even after all the abuse from the shell coming off, so I suppose its well built in that regard.
