So I upgraded to Vista home Premium 64 bit to make use of the more than 3GB of ram feature. Anyways after I upgraded I am having trouble getting a steady connection. The computer is in the same spot as before, I have a vista compatible wireless network card, I have another pc using Vista that doesn't have an issue, and a macbook pro that doesn't have the problem as well so I don't think it's the router, which is a Wrt54gv4 or something if memory serves.
So the deal is I'll have a fine connection everything will be fast and good but then out of the blue it'll drop to either super slow or no connection at all. I'll still have a great connection to the router but no internet connectivity. It's almost like it works in bursts.
It's a WPA-2 secure network wireless g. Both the network card and router are native to g. I have all the updates for vista and all my drivers are up to date.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
I'm almost willing to bet that it's the drivers. I've been wrestling with this problem on Vista 32bit and went through 2 d-link network cards which had both vista and xp drivers but I've had exactly the same issues. Weird thing was, first time I installed vista I didn't have a problem at all. Just bought a USB wireless dongle and it's sorted everything. If you've got one to try and I'd do that.
I could but that requires a bunch of unwiring and stuff that I don't really want to do. but I guess I'll have to, it wouldn't even be an issue but I can't really play anything online. I'll post back in a bit when I do.
