So how do I connect my 360 to my XBMC?

I'm pretty confused here. I followed the on screen directions, took down my eight digit code, downloaded the newest version of XBMC... after installation, I run the program and it never prompts me to add my 360. Nowhere do I see the option (in network or system settings) to 'add an extender'. The XBMC is functioning fine, it seems like a shiny and cool method of organizing my media. However I don't know how to sync my networked 360 with it.

Help?

Just install TVersity. Seriously, it's so easy. Basically you install, tell it where the files are, and let it do the rest of the work.

Is the look as nice as XBMC?

Yeah so I'm really dumb and don't know the difference between Windows Media Center and XBMC. :D

While we're on the subject of streaming content, I will totally vouch for the awesomeness of Tversity. It works so much better than the shit that comes with WMP, or the Zune software, or any of the Microsoft recommended applications. I have had very few problems with streaming stuff since I started using Tversity.

How do I access the files that TVersity is streaming on my 360?

Oops asked too soon, figured it out.

    Thanks guys.

Is there any way to have a better interface for looking at my media on my 360? That was the main reason I wanted to use WMC (but obviously that costs a ton of money). I don't want to use the dull NXE blades.

Not that I know of. It is a pain in the ass though. You'll notice that you'll go six or seven folders deep to find the video that you're looking for.

I used a program called Tag&Rename and basically tagged all the artists for all my music, so it's not so bad now. But yeah, it's still like 7 buttons deep. Thankfully the NXE is much faster than the old dashboard as far as speed goes.
