Cat + Kitten + Me = Question

Evening H and A had a real quick question.

I have neglected getting my male cat fixed due to monetary reasons. A few friends of mine ended up getting shipped to Bahrain and had to get rid of their female kitten (8 weeks old.)

This was unfortunate and I didn't want to see their cat end up in a shelter or homeless so I adopted her. My cat immediately began humping away so I had to end that quick.

I found a program (FCNMHP) that fixes animals for cheaps or free and went about that route. I got my cat fixed today and about 12 hours later he is still attempting to hump away.

Can I expect him to stop anytime soon and is it possible for a fixing to not take or take some time to be 100% sure of not making many kitties?

    I have heard that the male is still fertile for a period after neutering. Not sure how long afterwards, sorry. Get the female kitten fixed ASAP and you won't have to worry about it any more. IIRC pediatric spay/neuter is possible if the kitten is 8 weeks or older and weighs 2 pounds or more. Kittens recover from surgery more quickly than adults.

    Also some cats remain horny even if they can't actually get anything knocked up. Especially if they developed a taste for it before getting fixed.

    LOL habit.

    A good ol' spray bottle (with a thin stream, so you don't inadvertently punish the kitten for being humped) may help.

    I've scheduled a spaying for the little one to nip that little problem in the bud. I spose I could just laugh off the situation when I have guests over and a full on cat snuff film going on in the middle of my living room.

    Will attempt the spray bottle as well. Thanks for the speedy replies.

    You just removed his testicles, He still is hopped up on male hormones. It takes about a month before they readjust to the new levels where he stops being, well, male


    If I recall correctly, My vet warned during this period that it is possible for him to breed.
