Calendar sharing between multiple PCs and possibly cell

So my wife and I are apparently the least responsible adults we know. We keep missing bills, not because we can't afford to pay them, but because we forget completely. We also miss appointments, and all manner of other things. I've always had a terrible memory, and my wife's has been getting steadily worse.

So my solution is to find some program that allows me to set up a calendar and share it between multiple computers. I'd like to be able to access it from work, so I'd need to be able to access it through the internet without using Webmail. I'd also like to be able to access it with a phone, and I'm willing to upgrade to smart phone for this functionality.

What's available? Does the calendar program in Outlook work without an Exchange server? Does the Iphone play friendly with Outlook?

Your best bet may be an online based calendar such as Google Calendar.
Rainlendar Pro (or whatever the pay version is) might be worth looking into.

How about setting up your bills for auto debit from your account?

Yeah, we're doing that now. I just want to set up a way for us to track our schedule more closely.

I don't know if there is a calendar program that will work for you if google calendar does not.

I use google calendar sync (background program) at work and home in coordination with my outlook calendar.

    It really is the best.

You could always try Remember the Milk. It's web-based, there's some Google integration available and it can send alerts via e-mail, IM or SMS.

There are also a couple of options that don't at all adhere to your specifications: get diaries and obsessively check them or get a calendar and put on the fridge or on the front door.

You can set Google Calendar up to SMS you with your daily agenda (as determined by the calendar). Apparently it's sent to you at 5am. Would once a day be sufficient?

Genius. The only fault would be to forget to input any appointments or bills.
