Looking for music that will put me in a diabetic coma.

Title says it all. Im looking for sugary sweet, cutsie, and down right adorable songs.

Ill take it in any language too. Some cutesy Japanese or English songs would be appreciated.

I seem to have the hardest time finding cute songs. Cute animes like Ouran High School Host Club offer some opening and ending themes with this flavor but i cant seem to find much else.

Please help!!!

I downloaded the soundtrack to Azumnaga Daioh and it's definitely best described as adorable. It has about 40 short songs and instrumentals from the show.

    Mates of State.

Architecture in Helsinki (first 2 albums, not their latest; it's garbage).

Shonen Knife (Japanese all girl punk band. Most of their songs are in heavily accented English, but you can import a few of their Japanese albums. Their songs are usually completely nonsensical or about a random everyday object.)

    Shonen Knife - Catnip Dream

Camera Obsura. Though a few of their songs carry an underlying melancholy.

The Concretes. Swedish pop, which is usually the sugary sweetest.

The Pippetes for sure. 60's style girl group power pop.

Malajube have some pretty poppy good times songs, they're French-Canadian, though.

    Malajube "Montreal -40°C"

The Flaming Lips have some very dreamy, sweet songs. "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" would be your best bets.

The Unicorns have a very goofy, poppy sound. Worth a shot, 'cus they're great anyway.

Vancougar have the harmonized, super melodic girl pop thing going on.

Should be enough to get you started, no?

I need to say that "sugar" is Crystal Castles' antithesis. They don't fit in this thread. Furthermore, I don't believe that they should be supported--they're assholes involved in lots of copyright disputes in which they are clearly guilty. In interviews, they consistently come across as arrogant and sanctimonious. Their sound is unique, but I don't think it's worth acknowledging here or elsewhere.

On-topic though, I think early capsule (NEXUS-2060 and earlier) is super saccharine.

This is OT, but you can get off that horse. All that stuff was handled a long time ago. I'll be the first to admit the Crystal Castles come across as unlikable, but there are no real legal or copyright problems anymore, and you should keep up with that sort of info if you plan on spouting off about an artist anytime in the future.

That being said, Crystal Castles isn't really happy good times music, but it's still nice.

The first thing I thought of was Eric Dolphy, a famous jazz musician who died in Berlin from being in an untreated diabetic coma.

But based on the recommendations in this thread, I don't think he's what you are looking for...

Also, I don't know if you're cool with pop music, but Ingrid Michaelson is also really cute and enjoyable, especially for her well done vocals.
