    I appreciate the desire for a comic that isn't a dick joke, but yeah, this one is kinda preachy, like Waiter said. They've done other wordy comics that have been great.

    Yeah "wordy" is not inherently bad. CAD sucks primarily because it's unfunny. The redundant over explaining of each joke is a secondary problem.

    I think I need to read the post that goes along with this comic; I don't know how to feel about some of the more "newslike" comics until I've digested the entirety of the message.

    Kind of how like gravy is pretty good, but without turkey and potatoes, it's just brown sauce.

    There are many ways they could have handled this issue other than directly telling us explicitly what their issue with it was.

    Clumsily handled I feel, still alright but I hope Tycho completely gets livid in the post, this is the kind of dumb PR move that I think they would be frothing at and we get a quite discreet and easy going comic. Oh hoh hoh it was joke time.

    They gave "Rainslick" a 7.5:
    The chance of it converting detractors of their traditional work is about as likely as that burlap sack containing something other than hobos, but that's to be expected.
    The detective aspects also contain more fluff than substance....
    But in its current form, it will satisfy only the specific niche of people who find PA funny and no one else.

    I think Gabe and Tycho might be fairly justified in venting their cooperative ire; besides, it's their webcomic. They can probably do whatever the hell they want once in a while.
