Looking for a video card that supports widescreen.(solved)

I assume that's what I need anyway. I just had to replace my monitor, and upgraded from a CRT to a widescreen LCD. But it doesn't look right(and only had drivers for Vista). My current card is a VIA s3g unichrome pro IGP, which apparently doesn't support widescreen(1440 X 900).

So I need like the cheapest piece of crap video card I can get away with, no gaming, no movies, just used for browsing the internet.
Help?

I imagine you can get away with any cheap card wherever they sell them. Just make sure it fits your motherboard.

Tried updating your drivers yet? Even my folks old system on an Intel i845 supported widescreen resolutions.

A quick google shows me that many other people have this issue and that a video card is what you'll need. You can get a cheap video card that will be WAY better than your graphics for under $50:

AGP: HIS Hightech Radeon 9250 $30
    PCI-Express: Sapphire Radeon 3450 $30 - $10 rebate = $20

I am thinking that if you have a PC using that POS for Video your chances of finding a card that will work in your system is higher PCI (not PCIe)card. I would look to a Geforce2 mx or Radeon 9200 or better PCI video card.

I actually had a GeForce 2 MX sitting around, but I just threw it away :(.

It was getting overheating problems anyway.

I actually tried a different approach and got a program that does custom windows resolutions. It seems to work okay, but I'll probably still end up buying a new card just for kicks and giggles.
