Buying new 360 hard drive and transferring data

I'm wondering, if I transfer data from one hard drive I have to another is that possible on the 360? I have a 20 gig hard drive currently, that I got with my original system because I figured I didn't care about a larger one (I don't put movies, music and such on it, never saw the point). Now you can install stuff, I really want to keep some games permanently installed like Fable 2 (which is just about unplayable off the disc now that I've installed it. I can't go back, YOU CAN'T MAKE ME GO BACK) so I need a MUCH bigger hard drive.
I can't answer your question, but is it really that much faster? I might have to get an Elite instead of the Arcade + 20 gig HD I've been planning on buying
If you buy the 120GB drive kit, it comes with a data transfer cable that will do exactly what you want. Microsoft has a page up with details on how exactly the transfer works. If you buy the 60GB drive, no transfer cable is included because that unit is supposedly intended as an upgrade for Arcade models that didn't come with any HD.
If you do buy a 60GB drive though you should be able to get a free cable directly from MS.
The PDF order form doesn't mention the 60GB hard drive at all. Based on how the form is currently written, the free cable offer looks like it only applies to 360 Elite and Special Edition consoles that came with the 120GB drive.
That's because it was written when the 60GB hard drive was not available and they haven't updated it.
Have you actually ordered one of these free cables based off a 60GB HD sale? I'm not saying you can't, I just can't seem to find anything on the 'net to corroborate it. Personally, I'm thinking of going from 20 -> 60, but I want to be positive I can get the transfer before I pull the trigger. Even then, I'm thinking it might just be more convenient to splash the extra $50, get a 120GB, and not have to wait for a cable in the mail.
