Everyone here should either remember highschool or, heaven help you, still be in highschool - while you were there you and your peers divided into different social groups. There were some really popular girls, a bunch of boys on the hockey/football teams who would get drunk on weekdays, those poor ESL students who smelled funny, and most likely there was a table of nerds, usually all male except for one or two girls who wore spiky collars, ridiculously baggy pants and had horrible haircuts. People would be playing Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons over lunch period and maybe busting out some Pokemon training action on the GBA. Was this you? Were you sitting at this table?
Even if you weren't as someone who posts on an online forum for a webcomic about videogames, you have to be at least slightly nerdy. Has it always been this way for you? Have you always been a bit of a geek? Or are you Sunglasses McCoolguy, like this dapper fellow here : 8-) .
I would like to hear about the highlights and lowlifes of your nerdy past, and what nerdy things you still do today.

In highschool I was the faggiest. I had not really sucked all that much cock (yet), but I definitely had no idea how to be 8-). Afterwards things got a little better, but even today I'm employed as a PC hardware reviewer, which puts me somewhere up there on the nerd scale.
Selected highlights of my horrible nerd past include -
MAKING THIS PICTURE
Yes, Killjoy, I did make this picture. I don't actually feel too bad about this one because it was specifically requested by this dude who fixed my watch - he wanted a custom cardcaptors sakura background like the ones found here.
BUT THEN I ALSO MADE THIS PICTURE:
No real defending this. I completely drew this because there was this girl in one of my grade 11 classes who was into anime and we talked about it and I tried drawing anime IN ORDER TO IMPRESS HER AND GET HER TO DATE ME HOLY JESUS CHRIST
I've also made youtube videos of myself playing video games dubbed over with music from the matrix.
I've watched every episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
I watch and continue to watch Japanimation. I also listen to the soundtracks! I have Yoko Kanno's symphonic scores on my music playlist right now.
The letters FCKGW mean something to me.
I have an OKcupid account and made several OKcupid threads on this very message board.
I have had both a livejournal (where I have ranted about women not liking me) and a webcomic (where I inserted myself as a character and gave myself a hot girlfriend).
I'm sure there's more but you get the general picture. Some of the nerdier and more socially unacceptable habits have been curbed, and I shave my neckbeard diligently now. Not that anyone actually cares anymore now that I'm older and done with school.
I only have eyes for no good punks who need cold hard justice via hot lead

I didn't even have a birthday party this year. Instead, I helped the people at my university build the set for their upcoming production of The Skin of Our Teeth.
the most nerdiest thing ive ever done was in jr high when i dressed up in like fake armor and beat other kids up with fake swords
there were adults doing this too
it was like some weird larp type shit but they would just whack each other with swords and axes and whatever else they made. I dont know it was weird. I only went like twice with some dude from church. The whacking each other with shit was fun though

I am king of all geeks and have a cushy seat up in the dork hierarchy. And, having just recently played DnD for the first time a few weeks ago, am now slowly ascending the nerd ladder.
Soon I'll control both the vertical and the horizontal.

I not only drew japanimation, I drew hentai occasionally. And I was so desperate for attention and friendship that I would often offer my finished works to admiring onlookers.
*Sigh* If I met the highschool me, I dunno what my reaction would be. Oh, the things I would tell myself.
These are the activities I was involved with in elementary school.
Basketball
Chess Club
Choir
Soccer
School Plays
I only did those things because people said I couldn't. When I started junior high I gave up all that stuff. Three years later I was in a drug rehab. Two years later I was a high school dropout. Ten years later I am on the internet making a post about it.
During lunch breaks, I would just sit in the library and doodle.
I doodled pictures of Spurious Ruke: Interdimensional Cowboy.
It was going to be a big webcomic some day, but I didn't really have any ideas for it other than that when Spurious Ruke got bored, he'd travel to an alternate Earth and shoot Jesus.
That picture is so huge when I opened the spoiler it made a THUNK noise.
As for me, I was the editor of my high school year book. Beat that, motherfuckers.
i was editor of the yearbook AND director/producer/editor of the weekly school news program
oh and i was the only one in the entire school who knew how to work the sound and lighting in the auditorium, so i had to work all the plays and musicals

Marry me.
I imagine those beady eyes make for bad visibility. Sunglasses would make that even worse.
Sunglasses McCoolguy always wears a leather jacket and rides a motorcycle. Without a helmet.
I am too dangerous for safety

I've read 426 issues of the comic.
I am the bigger nerd.
Alternatively the bigger idiot.
Then I met real nerds.
Now I just consider myself as a guy who happens to like some nerdy things.

It just got worse and worse and I was like "This is stupid" and never saw an anime series again
I used to be all over that anime shit when I was like 13
then I stopped being an idiot
really?
I've seen 200 episodes of Sailor Moon, edited and not, all three movies, and the OAV.
Never did read the manga, though.
I also own two of the original DiC VHS releases.
I was in grade 8
my "girlfriend" was into the show
I realized it was pretty shitty but I just kept watching anyway
I was the graphics editor for my campus newspaper, but that was actually pretty cool.
We got to make ads and stuff like this:
Did they come in orange?
naruto and bleach
seen most of the anime episodes and read (and still read) all the manga for bleach and read most of the manga for naruto
i am the most terrible person but i can't help it! once i've started reading i have to know what happens even if it sucks!
I've seen every episode of dragon ball z as well as most of GT and the original Dragon Ball
I'd say the only people on this forum who could best me in Z knowledge are larlar and shoe
