and tell me who the cat-looking thing in the top center in supposed to be? It sure as hell doesn't look like Thomas Kemper. It doesn't look like the Wombat either, so I'm pretty much out of guesses.

Also, for bonus points, any idea what the hell the thing directly to the left of the mystery cat is? It looks like a watermelon with a cannon attached or something...

Can't help you with the cat, but the item to the left looks like a table tennis bat.

[strike]The "watermelon" is an exclamation point, from when "Tycho" did a comic.[/strike] Oh wow. No, ping pong paddle. I was way looking at the wrong thing.

The cat is probably Tycho's cat.

Thomas Kemper wasn't that colour or shape, though.

Mr. Period totally didn't have orange eyes either. That's a different punctuation-based character!

It is truly an affront! Since when can mere artist decide to draw his characters in a slightly different manner! What a horrid display of the slipping moral lassitudes of todays youth!

To be fair, all the other characters are readily recognizable. So it's not like there other comparable examples of artistic license being exercised here.
