In the sunscreen song the narrative:
"Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life…
the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives
some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don’t"
Is brought up, this guy right there... aside from being interesting, and the fact that I feel guilty as hell... is me.

That being said...

What I need to know is the following. Are there any sights out on the internet when you can do testing to see which jobs your aptitudes apply to?
I've tried some of the one's found in google... but taking an hour to answer 200 some questions only to be told "For the fair price of XX.XX you can get your answers delivered directly to your email."
I'd really like to get out of the current job I am in, but honestly... I don't know what I would excel at / enjoy.
I know that seems pretty... well... retarded to say... but in all seriousness I've never found a job I can excel at and go home at the end of the day proud of what I've done and feeling like I've put in a honest (and good) days work.
My current job, is dull... and it drives me up the wall. I need a change.

Please, any suggestions welcome.

Oh, and I don't (think I) apply for student or young adult assistance as I am pushing the big 3-0.

Also, night school is an option.

Thanks for your help guys.

I can't think of anything clever.

Welcome to the real world, where a dream job is just that, a dream. Some people are lucky, and find something they love to do, like earning tons of cash, or just helping people.

Consider yourself lucky, you have the option to experiment, try new things, and based on experiences, you could move on from there. An Aptitude test is based on IQ and personal interests, and that kind of test cost money.

Your best bet would be an evaluator and/or counselor.
