Metal Dance Pads for the Xbox 360 - where can i has?

I'm trying to track down a halfway decent metal DDR pad for my girlfriend for Christmas, but all I can find is stuff for the classic Xbox. Does anyone know if such pads are compatible with the 360? A fair few of them say that they're USB, but I seem to recall the 360 not liking USB controllers that weren't 360-certified or some such thing.

Failing that, anyone know of a metal DDR pad specifically for the 360?

you're right about the 360-cert, things have to be specifically designed for 360 to work with 360.

if you're crafty you could buy a regular dance pad then fabricate a metal dance pad.

I can't seem to find anything. Your best bet might be to find an old tutorial on making metal pads, take a softpad to cannibalize, and work from there.

cobaltflux seems to be a no-go.

none of their products are listed for xbox 360.

So, what, this is basically a shell I can use to mod a regular soft dance pad?

If you're feeling particularly resourceful, look up one of the many tutorials online about building a metal pad, and just wire it up to the metal contacts of a gutted 360 controller. It's not too difficult (I managed fine with no previous experience in woodworking OR soldering) and will run you between $100 and $150 in materials, a little more if you need equipment.

Sorry, i thought you were just looking for good metal pads.

I was under the assumption that the xbox 360 has controller ports (I do not own, nor have I even seen a 360 in person) But a friend of mine has a 360 and uses these pads...
