That's odd, I'm not getting that. Did you change the time settings in your profile? If so, you may have made a mistake. If not, try it and see if it changes anything.
it's not a huge problem for me, but I figured some one important around here might want to know about this kind of thing. If it's messed up for me, the odds, on a forum this large, are that I'm not the only one.
Christ, duh. I can't believe I didn't think to tell you that.

It turns out there has been a bug in the code affecting date formats for quite some time now (something like 900 accounts were affected), so I reset the date format for EVERYBODY
This means that if you had put in a custom date format because you are European or something, you will probably have to go and change it back to the way you like it.
Ah, that explains things. I returned my date format to normal, but something's still not working right: all the threads that were active today or yesterday have a "Last Post" date in the format "Today - 12:34 am". Did you hardcode that into the forum software ? I can't remember phpBB doing that.

It happened when he did that big upgrade a few weeks back

So, does that mean it's a feature ? It's a bit annoying, because the "Today/Yesterday" thing is so different from my custom date string that it actually reduces the usability of the "Last Post" column. I also prefer the 24 hour format.

I was concerned about the Yesterday/Today thing when I put it in for that reason. I will look into making it so it is on by default, but disabled if you set a custom date setting.
I think we should have the date and time part of the universal page format (Like right beside the logo), just for reference.

anything today seems to fine. anything older seems messed up
I'm on -5 right now, but I just tried -4, -3, and +7.

Check that it is set as follows:
That was it.
It was set to "english" for some reason. I don't know how that got there.
