So I have 1340 points staring me in the face from my Xbox menu and have no idea how to make them dance for me. I have Braid and Psychonauts already and am unsure on what should earn my little digital tokens o_O.

I'm going to go, um, (insert poop joke here) har de har har, and see if you guys can grace me with a little knowledge! It really is appreciated, I'm terrible at making frivolous decisions. I knew I was going to get Braid and I knew I was going to buy Psychonauts again and now I'm adrift in the Marketplace!

It is better than the original in every possible way.

Not only is it HD (which on my super awesome TV is eye sex) but it has leaderboards and the ability to download and play 'ghosts' similar to racing games, which show you strategies to improve, or just an extremely pretty and nice screensaver while you go out or do other stuff.

Give a man a few choice XBLA titles like Bionic Commando, Braid, and Mega Man 9 and he'll be out of MS points for the day.

Teach a man about how Rock Band 2 is totally an awesome game and you should have that and he'll be out of MS points for life.

    No they haven't.

Don't get castle crashers unless you only want to play co-op with same console friends. The online portion is non-functional, and there is still no ETA on a patch.

    Everything else is good recommendations.

I am buying Crashers the day they release the patch.

Also, Carcasonne is one of the few XBox 360 games I can get casual gamers to play. It's like a weird cross between dominoes and Sim City. I just wish they would release more expansion packs.

I think you can still play N on the interwebs, it started as a flash game.

Rez is a really good shump style game.

Geometry wars is a very psychedelic looking asteroids type game, I haven't played the second but im sure its similar to the first. Good game if you like that type.

Also, if something looks good, just get the trial first. :P

If you play Halo 3 a lot then the Legenday pack is only 400 points this week (I believe).
I second... or fourth... or fifth Castle Crashers.
There is also Catan, and the other board games.
Braid was pretty awesome, but hard as hell later on. Its short, but sweet.
Ikarguru is an amazing shoot-em-up if you are into them.

    - N+ is pure platforming at its finest. You can play the free PC version, sure, but N+ controls a lot better, looks and sounds better, and its co-op is a blast.
    - Pac-Man: CE never gets enough love. I can't stand the original Pac-Man, and I think Pac-Man:CE is additing as crack.
    - Rez HD is the definitive version of a groundbreaking and worthwhile game
    - Geometry Wars 2 is one of the most polished arcade experiences you will ever find. Every single aspect of the gameplay and presentation is finely honed to provide the most addicting experience possible. I'm not a big shmup person, and I wasn't a big fan of GW1 (heresy, I know), but GW2 is one of my favorite games on live.

The best advice I can give, though? Download demos of everything that sounds interesting. You will amuse yourself for quite some time, and it gives you something concrete to base your decision off of.

The original is good, and half the price, but the sequel is better in every way. The original will suck you in for hours at a time, but the sequel will steal entire days.

The Penny Arcade games are both of high quality.

I also want to reccomend In the Pit. It's not something that you can sink your teeth into for days but at only 400 points I found it to be a unique and very enjoyable experience. Just make sure you can play it with headphones or surround sound.

    Question on Castle Crashers:

What is this bug? I was planning on DLing it monday, but I thought I heard some mention of buggery for online play or something? I can't get on XBL very often so I mostly only plan for local box play, so am I still ok to get it, or would I be plagued just as well?
    Thanks

Also, Ticket to Ride is a good version of the board game for 800pts. Fun with friends, decent with cpu opponents. It comes with an America map and I think you can DL the Euro map for a few hundred more points as well.

For me, it is the save system. Randomly, my save disappears and I have to start completely over. This has happened to me several times now, and it makes it impossible to enjoy the game.
