So, who's going to see this tomorrow?
It's opening the day before my birthday and it's a comic book movie so I'm going to see it.
Reviews so far are mixed. One starts off with saying it's a bad movie, then goes on to talk about how much he liked it for 5 goddamn paragraphs.
Apparently it ignores the first (two?) Punisher films and has his ACTUAL backstory (not the Spiderman Villian one, shut up.), but the one where his family is gunned down by random gang violence. It has supporting characters from the comics that have been ignored up until now.
Supposed to be VERY violent and bloody if nothing else. Apparently there is some very laughable dialogue. Looks very Marvel, I want it to be good. The lead actor is from ROME, apparently he is quite good in that.

Newsarama did have a review up of the movie but they took it down for whatever reason. It said that this was the best Punisher film yet, but that that isn't saying much. Pretty much all of the acting is terrible, but if you like violence then it's good.

I love violence, but not when it's done in a really flashy impractical way that a guy without superpowers shouldn't get away with.

I quite enjoyed it and felt it was worth the price of admission. (Like buying a ticket on a rollercoaster)
Unfortunately I was with a guy that had worshipped Transformers since a child and had to hear about it on the way home.
Apparently the old comic books and shows were somehow so much better than that movie.
