"Shit, we can't MC the worshippers!"

"Shit, killing the worshippers doesn't dispel the frenzy!"

So that's how we accidentally got the achievement on Faerlina.

hate: who amongst us doesn't know that running out of Vann's room resets him?

Got into an AV where we out numbered the alliance 3 - 1. So we quickly zerg up the map, capturing (and even guarding) towers, a miracle! We get to Vann, wait for towers to burn, then rush him. And somehow proceed to reset him 5 times. And not because he was killing us, because some person or persons was running out with aggro...

So by that time, we're down to a 2 - 1 advantage, and the alliance has managed to retake SP and AS gys... so we got to refight our way up the stretch. Finally manage to kill Vann, but damn, can't believe there are so many people that don't know you never ever run out of Vann's room.

Is that bug still in AV where horde (alliance?) can leave their starting gates sooner? That shit pisses me off and it's annoying not knowing who it is.

I think the issue was that horde could mount up at the end of the tunnel, whereas alliance could not. Not sure if that has been fixed or changed.

Hope: I can hit 80 soon to start making mad bank from quests.

Kind of annoyed: I love prot, but it appears my 10 man group has enough tanks as is, so I'll be respeccing Ret at some point (thinking once I hit 80, but I might just do it tonight and start steamrolling quests). Maybe once 3.1 drops, I'll just dual-spec prot and ret...

Hope: They don't ask me to respec holy, because I hear they're having trouble finding enough healers for us with the hours we run. Flash of Light is a cool enough spell, but I don't feel like spamming it for hours on end...

Holy paladins don't just spam FoL anymore.

There's plenty of call to use Holy Light, Beacon of Light means you have to intelligently choose a target to place it on and then heal the raid, the Holy Light glyph means you can do AOE healing in a pinch, the glyphs of Seal of Light and Wisdom mean you need to be keeping a seal up, as well as judging every 30 seconds for 20% haste, your Holy Shock crits proc instant Flashes of Light so you need to be weaving Holy Shock in when appropriate...in short, its a lot more involved, a lot more fun, and a lot more versatile.

I have a priest if I want to heal. Being a flexible, utility healer is much better than spamming 2-3 healing spells that are optimized for single target healing, in my opinion. Beacon of Light helps a lot, but having more options seems to me to be a much better overall healer. If they REALLY need a healer, I'll just sit down and level my priest to 80.

Not trying to shit on pally healers, I just don't like how they play.

Outside of being able to cast heals on themselves, rogues have the best survivability in the game.

Only 1k more rep for some epic boots..
And I just got invited to the last boss of heroic HoL because their DPS was stupid. I said I didn't care since I was just in it for the axe anyway. There was myself, another DK and a TG warrior. So we kill him and the axe drops. And I won it.

You're far from the only guild. We did 25man Naxx, and no boss in there would ever require more than two tanks, and trash can be done with two, three would be more comfortable. Our deathknights will never get to tank, I think.

Happy: After the guild killed Malygos with no other content up and like an hour left on everyone's flasks, we ran out and killed the Alliance faction leaders and got our black war bears.

Right after we killed Varian Wrynn (our first leader) and piled into the tram to go to IF, some other Horde raid showed up in Stormwind. Just in time to meet all the Alliance that had swarmed in to fight us. It sucked for them, but it worked out great for us, because all the Alliance stayed in Stormwind to fight that other raid while we breezed through IF, Darnassus, and Exodar pretty much unopposed. I'd post a picture of us on our war bears in Exodar (gogo portable mailbox), but I was too busy trying to edit my random mount macro to grab one while we were still posed on our bears. Maybe riz took one.

Is there a way to edit the random mount macro so that it only chooses from epic mounts? I've considered playing with the macro, but unless there is a little intelligence behind it, I will be mounting up on a Kodo when I really wanted a flying mount.

I've seen macros that randomize your mount according to whether or not you can fly, so I'm sure it's possible to an extent.

Having said that, I have no idea how to do it. I'm sure WoWWiki has at least one.

Archavon drops two items on 10, four items on 25; these items are random set pieces pulled from any class, from either the class's PvP or Tier 7 set. On 10, you receive the 10-man Tier 7 and the Hateful gladiator pieces; on 25, you receive the 25-man Tier 7 and (I think) Deadly gladiator pieces.

I'm not logged onto my druid, but I'm pretty sure it's something like:

/castrandom Great White Kodo, Great Gray Kodo, Great Brown Kodo, Black War Bear, Armored Brown Bear, Swift Zhevra
    [mounted] /dismount

the first line is just /castrandom with a list of all the different mounts you want to use, seperated by commas. The second line dismounts you if you're mounted, so that it works like a regular mount. For some reason the macro sometimes won't work if you just type the names in, but you can shift click the spell icon to enter its name in the macro window and that will always work.

I'm a druid, so I don't really mess with flying mounts (I have a seperate key I hit for flight form), but you can test for whether flying is allowed in your current zone and cast from a different list of mounts based on that. However, I do know that those sorts of macros are broken in Northrend if you don't have cold weather flying yet.

A Simple Pleasure: Got the new Prat, and finally abandoned Chatter. The downside to Chatter was that, despite being less bloated, it used a variable-width font for timestamps; accordingly, two identical entries with different timestamps would be sentences ending at different points on the screen. This was incredibly irritating!

Prat is smart and uses a fixed-width font for timestamps. Thank you, Prat. <3

Unfortunately not. You can circumvent this by removing the flyable section, then adding it in at 77 I suppose. There may be a more complex macro involved to account for it, but it's beyond my means.

I don't use a macro like this so I couldn't tell you how to do it, but you also have to tell it not to use a flying mount in dalaran.
