Xbox 360 Media Update Question

I need the media update that allows you to watch .avi videos on your 360. I know the update works automatically if you try and watch a video, but I do not have internet yet at my house. I was wondering if there was a way for me to download the update from here and put it on a usb drive and update the system myself. Is this possible? Does anyone have a link to the update?

    I know you can download and burn the os and backwards compatibility updates from the official xbox site and install them from a disc. Have you tried looking to see if they have the media update you want on there too?

    No, for that particular update you need to connect to Live to download it. If you won't have internet for a while it might be worth going to a friend's house and grabbing it.
