What the heck is this!?

So I woke up this morning, mulled around for a bit, went to the bathroom and sat down to play some quality guild wars. Then I feel something on my mouse, and go to get it off when I see my thumb is.... red...
Not like deep red, but just ever so slightly. Goes from the fingernail to the end of the joint. No pain or anything, hell I can barely even feel it or know its there at all. If I look really close I can see a tiny red dot, but it looks just like any other little red dot on my other hand, like a capillary or something.

You can hardly see it in the photo, but mostly near the nail. iPhone isnt like HD or anything.
And since the time of taking the picture and posting all this, the color seems to be fading to normal.

It's medically known as a 'blotch'.

Could just have been heat or a light abrasion that broke the skin causing a minor reaction but didn't leave an actual scratch or something like that, maybe involving a toiletry product or house dust.

If it's gone, it's probably not a problem.

Agreed. Momentary exposure to an allergen or heat might cause some reaction like that. If it gets worse or doesn't go away, see a doctor, but otherwise I think you're good.
