The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Namco Bandai continue to shake the last few power pills from Pac-Man's pockets, but the new mobile version of the venerable franchise does come with a cool new feature - multiplayer.
Up to four players can play via Bluetooth - one taking the role of the titular yellow glutton while 3 others play as ghosts trying to take that fat mofo down. Yes, we do know there are four ghosts. We assume it is some kind of Bluetooth thing.
Lonely ghost munchers have the usual 256 levels to devour, although there is the added incentive of a Europe-wide leaderboard for scores uploaded via 3G data links.
How hard is it to make a WiiWare version? Namco doesn't like money?

WiiWare with online would be pretty good, but I think you would lose out on the fun of being the person playing as Pac-Man and listening to the other 3 people in the room scream at each other about where you are on the screen.
It's times like this that I'm glad I have the gamecube version and a GBA just lying around for the sole purpose of breaking it out at parties.
I still have everything I need to play the original game (even got a GCN controller extension so the person playing Pac-Man doesn't have to sit on the floor near the Wii). Still, it would be nice to have a Wii version with DS support. It would eliminate some wires, which is always a good thing. I'd buy it again.

Wii Speak (or headsets for XBLA/PSN versions) really can convey a lot of the same emotions. An eight-play Bomberman Live chat session is like staring into the face of madness.
I'd love to see a modern downloadable version, but alas, I suppose it's too beautiful for this world.
A Wii version with DS connectivity would be much better. That game is crazy fun.
It's kind of funny how little DS-Wii connectivity there's been, considering how much more popular they are. And you wouldn't need those damned link cables either.

Are WiiWare games that download something to DS and then communicate back and forth possible at this point?

I own a mobile phone!
How do I/can I get this on an N95?
edit: the answer is yes, it's included on Namco Museum DS.

VOICE-OVER: It's September 24th, I'm Liz Parker and five days ago I died. But then the really amazing thing happened. I came to life.
If I had people to play it with, I would TOTALLY still play this. It's awesome. In fact, I bought Pac-Man Worlds 2 just for this.
No, my roommates and I play this, preferably upon coming home drunk from a night out on the town.
