Just wanna run it past a few more people before I put in the order.
Please let me know if I'm missing any crucial pieces or have any glaring incompatibilities.

Here's the rig:

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146035
Optical Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151179
Mother board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130136
Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127387
Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152035
Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231226
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103291

And I have 2 SATA hard drives I'll be pulling from my current rig for storage space.
Thanks in advance!

Looks good, though I find it slightly surprising you'd go with an nVidia graphics card when that motherboard works so well with Crossfire (seriously, the 4 cards that board supports would be ridiculous)

Also, I don't know if you've considered a third party HSF that would be better than the stock one.

As much as I'd love to grab a 4870 (or 3 or 4), The Nvidia is just so much more performance for the money... though I figure with this board I've got room to upgrade myself considerably in the future.

Also, HSF, by that you mean heat sink? the newegg reviews do say that the stock is pretty good. I'm not sure the 50 bucks is gonna be worth it for me, I don't really plan on overclocking right off the bat.

(If you couldn't tell I'm runnin on a budget here) :P

Looking at Toms Hardware and Newegg, it would appear you can get a 4830, which has equivalent performance to the 8800/9800 GT, and has DX 10.1 support to boot (not that it matters that much). They're also a little bit cheaper, and you can get one with HDCP support, like this one

Get a better power supply. That is the one part you do not want to skimp on, and I'm afraid a $75 Raidmax qualifies as "skimping".

This would probably be a better purchase:

just a suggestion: dell has some really good deals on premades right now. i just picked up an inspiron with a 22in monitor for about the same price as one i built myself without the monitor.

    just sayin

That might be true for a regular home PC, but it certainly isn't for a gaming PC like the OP appears to be building. They have you paying quite the premium for their XPS systems.

You could probably get away with a cheaper motherboard. I mean why pay for 4 PCI Express slots if you're only going to use one for a cheaper high end card anyway? Otherwise it looks good though.

Here is a cheaper Mobo that should work:

True. What I'm doing for my gf is buying the inspiron and sticking a decent vid card in there. Its always an option if 1920x1200 top graphics isnt a priority for you.
