It felt pretty warm today when I left the house.

It turns out it's -3 C.

    So, the apartment manager gets to decide when to turn it on and off.
    I've already complained twice so far, but no luck.

    this is the problem with central heating
    I faced the same problem with my last place
    either I had to open windows because it was too stuffy, or I was freezing my ass off

    I've not been heating my apartment past 73, so it's slightly cool and I wrap up with a blanket.

    That said, in relation to the OP, I went outside in jeans and a T-shirt less than an hour ago, didn't think it was too cold at the time.

    Turns out it was below freezing.

    we are having the strangest weather this week

    wednesday was 18deg and windy, yesterday was in the 60's and today just can't make up it's damn mind whether it's going to rain or not

    we keep our house at 17°C during the day and it goes as low as 12°C at night.

    I just prefer to use clothes to keep me warm than pay more in electrical bills
    that range is usually warm enough for me to be comfortable in jeans/pajama bottoms and a t-shirt
    and if I get chilly I can throw something else on or turn the heat up a bit if I want
