Yeah, usually hinge cracks will be covered if the machine is still under warranty. They're typically a materials failure rather than abuse. Manufacturers know this.
How did you...have pictures up in the thread that you had not taken yet?! AHHH! TIME PARADOX!
Anyways, this kind of thing is usually covered by a warranty. Are you still under warranty? If not, be prepared to pay for it, even though it's a really stupid simple fix. Shit, if you could find a hinge from a dealer somewhere, it's so easy to do. I did it on my old IBM Thinkpad when the hinge broke on that.

I made the thread with shitty pictures because I forgot to turn macro on.
I should still be under warranty. If I have to pay for it, how much do you think it'd be?
That depends heavily on the internals of the machine. It might be a little plastic bracket, which would be whatever their minimum repair cost is, or it might be part of the case, which would rocket the bill to $250+
Perhaps all that grime on the screen put too much stress on the hinge and caused it to break.
In days long past I was in charge of maintaining a number of laptops for management types, and broken hinges were fixed without issue if it was under warranty. Once the machine was a couple years old.. there was a 50/50 shot at them wanting money. Sometimes if the model had known issues they'd do it for free.

But I would bet on warranty coverage.
