Everyone does this, right? I probably do it once every couple of months. I figure that's maybe normal.
What's concerning me is that it's happening a lot right now. I've done it about a dozen times in the past couple hours, and I'm certainly not trying for it consciously. Should I be alarmed?

You should stop hitting your arm on things.
If you have your forearm on a flat surface, inside of your elbow down and your elbow bent, you could tap your funny bone very consistantly
Yeah I get that but I have a very very specific setup: my 360 and laptop are both connected to my monitor. When my 360's not getting any playtime, I place the laptop on top of it to get better typing room while I watch my monitor. So my arms are always situated like this, night after night.
I'd recommend getting a better chair, specifically one with soft padded leather armrests. I used to have this problem with the chair I had at the office and it made my arms pretty sore. It also ripped one of my good jackets because the plastic was rough, but that's another story.
I don't know of any medical condition where this is a symptom, but it doesn't sound too worrying--I think I've had days when I hit my funny bone multiple times in a row. Just unlucky, perhaps?
I agree with getting some padded armrests (or padding the ones you have now).

Bah! I was going to use a similar pun. Damn you!
I hate hitting that damn funny bo... wait, its not a bone... who came up with that because it is not funny to hit your ulnar nerve...
I don't think anything can happen from it, I suppose repeated hits or one really bad one could possibly damage it but it'd have to be pretty hard I think. Get a better chair, because I'd hate doing that all the time.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

The doctor replies, "Stop doing that."
Ba doom doom. Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night.
Last one (about an hour ago) took over 45 minutes for my pinky to stop being numb.
Repeated trauma to a nerve will do that :winky:
