At least, I hope so. Because those games I had already registered before? The ones that show up in my list saying I should put the codes in? I already put the codes in when I registered the first time with My Nintendo, so I didn't need those sheets of paper anymore... I better get those points
After navigating their byzantine account info pages, I finally found all my products that had been registered, though I had not gotten any kind of credit from them yet. I sent an email through their form, though I'm sure they'll get around to crediting people eventually.
My question is, I sold my wii to my cousin a while ago, and plan to get a new one soon. Since he wont ever care about club nintendo, would it affect anything to merge his wii (registered to me already) channel stuff with my account? And when I add my new wii (under another family member I guess) would there be any conflict channel-wise as long as I add it under a new member?
I also have 2 ds lites not registered and no longer have the one I registered (I buy a lot of nintendo systems...). I just don't know if I want to start making up family members...
So what are you all going to buy with you points? I am still registering all my stuff. I have 12 DS games registered and I am doing the surveys now. Next is 5 Wii games.
I want the super mario themed case with the rainbow styli, then the game and watch games, and then the white ds case. Ideally I want two of everything, one to use and one to collect.
While I want it because it's going to be really collectible, the game and watch collection just doesn't seem like a good use of 800 coins. Considering that it takes 16 Wii games or 27 DS games to get that many again, I think I'll save my coins in the hopes of something like the Mario Galaxy soundtrack or a controller like the SNES Classic.

If you want your VC games to show up in the list, you have to link your Shop Channel with your Club account. Registering your Wii S/N does not accomplish this.
- Turn on Wii
- Go to Shop Channel
- Go to "Settings and Options" or whatever
- Click on "Link Nintendo Club Account" or whatever
- Enter your username and password
- Voila
All my VC/WiiWare games show up under the account settings on my club, but I have no points for them yet (or anything else I registered in the past).
Edit: Oh shit son! There they are! SURVEYS! ... still no points for VC titles though.
Edit: Edit: Ok what? When I try to take the survey for previously registered games.. it brings me to a list I can sort through... the ones I havn't gotten points for say "Product Registration" and then ask for a "Product ID Number." What the fuck is that? The code on the registration slip doesn't work.

It also depends on how easily you could get it on Ebay. Especially if it's only like $30 or something.

Can we get the chemicals in. 'Cause anything's better than this.
So, I am a Gold member. Apparently I get something in June? Or is that only for Platinum members?
I have 550 coins right now. I so want all those 9 ds game holder things and the silver ds case. Now I am going to be a sucker and look at what games are coming out ( I guess they have to be by Nintendo?) that I can get points with.

I sure hope I don't have to enter all the PINs again, because I didn't keep the slips for half of them... I registered them when I bought them and tossed em.
Stupid me.
Edit: And apparently only one of my dozen or so VC games qualifies for points (Tetris Party)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I imagine we're going to see a lot more Club Nintendo stuff, possibly at better prices than before, around eBay and the like.
That notwithstanding; I've already got Game & Watch Collection (and Tingle's Balloon Fight ), but that set of Nintendo character Hanafuda is kind of tempting.

How can I reach Gold or Platinum status?
Gold or Platinum status is based on the number of Coins earned in a Club Nintendo year. Each Club Nintendo year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. If you earn 300 Coins during a Club Nintendo year you will reach Gold status. Earn 600 Coins during a Club Nintendo year and reach Platinum status!
Club Nintendo members that reach Gold or Platinum status by the end of the Club Nintendo year, will be sent a special reward. Special rewards will be announced shortly after June 30 and shipped later in the year.
Your status will reset annually on June 30.
Why was my Gold or Platinum status reset?
On June 30 of each Club Nintendo year, your status will be reset to allow you to begin earning Coins towards the next Club Nintendo year's Gold or Platinum status rewards.
If I count up my games and look at what I plan to get, I can make sure I'll get platinum status...plus, what is the big reward for this year? What is the big reward for next year, and will I want that more? Decisions...
Last night I had nothing show up in my To-Do List. Today I have all my previously registered games, but theyre showing me that "Enter PIN" window. I did, and it tells me "You already entered this PIN."
So I'm assuming its more bugs.

It supposedly transferred my old account over, but I can't seem to log in using my username or e-mail..
And none of my registered games mean anything?! So if I had waiting and never registered them I would get coins now?! That is ridiculous! I still have the registration sheets, I should be able to get coins! At least we now have a club though, I guess. Will be cool to start earning towards stuff.

Just wait, don't assume anything, as the whole thread's been saying. It's very buggy at the moment and nobody knows if you're supposed to be able to get credit for old games or not. It seems we are supposed to but it's not working right now.

Yeah, I dunno why I was so frustrated. Like Nintendo owes me anything.
It sounds like the best plan for this club is to buy games and not register them until you see something you want (or hear about a possible platinum prize you want) and then enter in that you are planning to buy all those games, then register them all at once and spend the coins immediately, rather than enter in games as you get them. Especially since your status expires after June 30th each year.

Of course the problem is that you get 10 extra coins for registering right after release, or 10 for a post-game survey a few weeks after release, or 10 for announcing intent to buy beforehand.

Alright, awesome. All the surveys are up, but it's asking me to register all the games again. I guess I'm gonna be digging for those slips now. thank god I keep everything in the case with the games.
[EDIT] Nevermind. Site is still buggy so I'll keep trying periodically all day.
Damn. I tried logging in my account like 100 times. So I went ahead and started a new account (didn't have very many points anyway), but it said that the email address exists. So I confirmed the correct password and everything.
Then I try to log in, and it says: "You must confirm your email", which I did... Then reset my password again, then tried to log in... And it says: "You must confirm your email". Sigh..

Not quite sure what my username is..
And while I was typing that I got an email from Club Nintendo telling me to confirm my email and it looks like it's loading. Sweeeet.
I am getting the same thing so don't worry. Its still buggy as hell and the games are already listed as registered under my account. If you try and re-enter the registration it will say "already registered". at least it does for me (and some people on Neogaf).
Just give it a few days and you should get credit for your games. A lot of people got credit for their games immediately at registration so there is no reason to have to re-enter codes. I am just going to wait a few days for them to sort things out and if its still fucking up I will call NOA, I suggest you do the same and not worry.
Aye, I tried to sign up and it wouldn't let me get past the E-Mail stage. No response, it just stopped. I'm going to give it a few days for them to work out the kinks before I try again.
But this is fun! I don't think I'd want the Game & Watch collection (yuck)... but some of the cases are shiny, and would be fun to bring to PAX.
Also, I looked up this "Hanafuda"... it looks interesting!
FIANLLY, managed to transfer my account. Filling surveys right now. I've got like 20 surveys in line, and then I got my games to register. Holy shit, this is gonna be a long day :P
Okay so I give up on this for now. It let me log in, then when I clicked on a link it logged me out. Then when I tried to relogin it says username/password doesn't match.
Yeah, I think they're getting quite loaded down with all the new accounts and transfers. It seems like your best bet is to request a transfer from My Nintendo to the Club, and then wait a few days for the smoke to clear.
