random - looking for a song

So, a while back my friends and I were watching VH1 and heard a song that the X-Men cartoon from the early 90's pretty blatantly ripped off, or so we thought at the time. I thought it was a Rod Stewart video, but doing some searching isn't turning anything up. If anyone knows the song, it would be appreciated

    I honestly don't know who I'm more embarrassed for. 90's X-Men (who have a lot to be ashamed of already) or Rod Stewart.

    Probably Rod Stewart... but then, I'm always embarrassed for him.
