Why is EA allowed to make a game based on one of the most famous pieces of literature of all time. The book wasn't an action thriller. There was no outward violence as shown in the trailer. It illustrated the nine levels of Hell.
Why couldn't EA just reference The Divine Comedy, rather than name it after it? If they had referenced it, I wouldn't see a problem, but because they have, I see it only as a damning marketing ploy to capitalize off of something that shouldn't be capitalized on. Why aren't we making "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn: Revenge" or "The Catcher in the Rye: Redemption"? I'm sure there is a lot of money to be made on an "Uncle Tom's Cabin" video game...
