Alright, besides showing off this adorable little guy, I need help coming up with some names for the puppy I get to pick up this weekend. Obviously, I'll want to spend a little time with him to pick up on his personality a bit, but going in with some ideas would be a huge help because I suck at naming pets.
i would recommend something to do with that white spot that he has on his forehead.

Also, I had a friend whose cat was named Thor. So, you know, if you call him Thor then you will be naming him the same thing as a cat. Wouldn't do wonders for his self esteem I'd imagine.

Seconded. Thor is the best name for a dog. It's badass, but gentle. But then you piss him off and he'll chew your face.
Thor.
Best reasoning ever.
Thor is winner?
Look at this hairy mother-fucker. Now, that there dog of yours is hairy too, right? It just makes sense.

Seriously, dyslexic people will worship your dog
Too mean?
Oh god, this had me laughing. If he acts like a Thor, it will be Thor.

The reason is because he makes me think of the story from when I was little, The Pokey Little Puppy.

Go Home Movies reference, go!
I actually like Ringo, too. If only a dog could have two names.
For some reason, I've always wanted a dog called this.
Actually, I wanted my brother to name his dog Thor, but he was against it for some reason.

Frank Sampson. Yes. I think so.
Perfect name for a puppy.
Name him Spot! That's sure to be original!
Or it could be so ironic that your brain leaks out your ears that you named a dog Spot.
Puddin just reminds me of the Joker.

You're a scrubs fan perchance?
I'm going with Thor too but just to throw one of my own in the ring, Dante.
Baxter's a sweet name, but I'd always be worried about Jack Black punting him over a bridge.
what about Dexter?
Baxter - you pooped in the fridge? And ate the whole wheel of cheese? Actually I'm not even mad. That's amazing

Eagle the Beagle. Something about that combination just makes me giggle.
