So, I'm getting back from an International trip late Christmas Eve - my parents are picking me up from the airport, and I'm going directly from there to their house.
My girlfriend is spending all Christmas at both of her parents' houses, and we're going to try to get together around 10 or so. Both parent's houses are in the same suburb, but we basically _just_ started dating, and don't yet want to go through the whole meet the parents thing - especially at 10pm Christmas. We're both in college and have moved out and are independent, just crashing at the folks' for the night.
Any suggestions for good places to go and catch up for a couple of hours? My best idea is a night drive somewhere, but it'll be cold.
Stupid questions, but maybe there's some stupid, good answers?
I know this isn't the optimal place for hanging out together and actually interacting with each other, but I think most movie theaters are open on Christmas night. You guys could always buy tickets to a movie that neither of you want to see (and that few people would show up to watch) and spend the time talking (if no one's there) or making out (if people are there and you can find a secluded area so it wouldn't be obnoxious).
Barring that, I think most Chinese food restaurants are open on Christmas. I'm not sure how many would be open past 10:00, though.
If you have some bucks to spare and its not super cold where ever you are, Id get a cheap butane camping stove, some smores stuff and hot chocolate, and chill for a few hours outside somewhere with some blankets.
Find a neighborhood with very pretty Christmas lights, take her hand, and go walking around while admiring them. You could also make sure you have a warm cup of hot chocolate for her to hold in the other hand as you're walking.

I mean, unless night drive really does appeal to you.
