My turnip price is 213 if anyone is getting panicky before Christmas comes. I'll be opening up shortly.

Tempting... but I think I'll hold out to see if Katrina was right again.

And on the subject of Katrina...
Also Gaston told about Jam's charm last night. Apparently catching pill bugs in Azjambry gives you a better chance of digging up fossils. That certainly concurs with the massive amount of fossils I dug up the other week after visiting (about double the normal number I think). I wonder if other charms give different things?

Yes. My town's charm this month (cut down one tree) is good for flowers. Not sure what, exactly, but that's what she said.

My prices have gone from 77 to 55 bells since Monday morning. I also expect a spike. I usually miss them all, but tomorrow is a day off (obviously) so I can finally take advantage of it.

EDIT: Say, what's the deal with Jingle? How do you make him re-appear to give you more gifts?

Yeah I got a gift from him, figuring my wife could log on and do so as well, but we can't find him :(

Gamefaqs has the answer. You can go into the dark houses (animal houses that are not light up because the animal who owns the house is outside) too, but only this day. Jingle does not change places until he gives you a gift. Every time you want a gift from him, you need to be wearing either a new hat or a new accessory (all your designs work too, and so do ribbons and flowers, but not shirts and dresses, only hats and accessories) to trick him into thinking you're another guy. He's only here until midnight though.

So basically, you run around town, he has 3-4 different spots he could be at outside, and into any dark house (not yours, and not the other human houses, nor the lit up animal houses).
I got a few items from him that way, and they all sell for a little over 12K apparently.

The only item I'm missing is the Jingle piano. If anyone has a spare piano, I'll trade it for any other piece of the Jingle set.
EDIT: That means you, Vyolynce. However, I'm not doing the trade right now because I'm about to go to bed.

Well, he's probably doing his job.
Check inside the homes of your neighbors who don't have their lights on.

If anyone missed out on Jingle and wants some of his stuff, I have a ton of it. Not a complete set (I never got a table or couch/sofa), but several pieces of pretty much everything else (...four clocks...) plus a set of wallpaper/carpet. I don't really want any of it; I was just bored tonight, but I ran out of costumes before he would cough up the last couple of pieces.

EDIT: Gah, you buggers are fast.

EDIT: Crap, so that's his gimmick? TO GEUTRINK I GO!

I got Wild World for Christmas, because I'm about 3 years behind on cool games. If anyone is still playing it, let me come to your town and take some fruit.
    Please?

So animalcrossingcommunity.com has a thread where people post their high turnip prices, and they try to come up with some sort of "price pattern."

They seem to have some sort of method going, where they can determine within 2-3 days when your spike will occur, if at all.

They've got a few different "patterns" identified, but I can't really link anything right now because the site seems to be down.

I found a copy of WW and I'm considering playing it when I'm away from homesince I'm so AC addicted now. Can you regularly transfer crap over or I guess it's just a one time deal to transfer your dude? I just think it would be cool to swap stuff over from WW to CF.

One-time deal when you start your town, and I'm pretty sure it's only your catalog that gets moved over.

Well, we sold this morning in our town because our turnips were at 213 (we started playing at 11:53, so it didn't seem worth it to post about it), and we figured that was our spike (we had been in the 50's until yesterday).

Just checked (1:30 pm), and they're at 472.

There aren't enough expletives in the world at this point.

If anybody has turnips left, though, we've opened our gates to visitors.

cool I couldn't get ahold of my wife to add you guys but I should be home in like a half hour to do it..

how do people usually go about leaving a tip anyway and is there a standard tip rate?

trouble: Usually we've left tips by just dropping money bags near the person or their house (honor system applies).

As for standard tipping rate, I have no idea lol.

We're about to head out, but we're leaving the Wii on and the gate open. Anybody is free to come by (just please no picking up any ground tiles lol). If anybody still needs us to add them, we'll be back in a few hours.

So after mooking around on Christmas Eve I've got extra Jingle furniture left over.

A lot of extra Jingle furniture.

A fucking lot of extra Jingle furniture.

And while I know that here in Penny Arcade we try to be much more civilized and sophisticated about our transactions, you'll forgive me if I'm acting a bit mercenary given how much time and repetition went into the acquisition of these rare, valuable, once-a-year items.

So just as a heads-up, if you're in a mighty fine tippin' mood (read: 12,500) I'm in a mighty fine givin' mood.

EDIT: I have done an inventory check and have the following:

    FIVE (5) JINGLE PIANOS
    FIVE (5) JINGLE SHELVES
    SEVEN (7) JINGLE WARDROBES
    SIX (6) JINGLE SOFAS
    SEVEN (7) JINGLE CHAIRS
    TEN (10) JINGLE CLOCKS
    NINE (9) JINGLE BEDS
    FOUR (4) JINGLE LAMPS
    SIX (6) JINGLE TABLES

Awesome, major thanks to you and your wife! I'll be taking a couple trips to fully unload, is there anything you guys need/want in general? Maybe you're collecting a set of some sort? I may not have much at the moment, but I'd like to show my thanks for your generosity. :D

EDIT: Hmm... I keep getting an error 80430 when trying to connect to your town, Mathew. I'm assuming its a time out error, and hoping its not because I gave you the wrong code by mistake. I'll try again in an hour or so, hopefully you'll be on.
