i like to think that there are posters here that have never ever used Win98
simply because they are that young
wow, that's making me old. I remember using 3.1
I remember when I was a kid, my parents bought me a PC Megaman game from one of those little monthly book catalogs they used to do in elementary school. I was in like 3rd grade trying to figure out whether I was supposed to use CGA,EGA,VGA, or Tandy graphics.
I remember using DOS and 3.1 and Mac OS like, 2 or something
whatever was on the Apple IIe
and also those "computers" which ran on 5½" floppies and couldn't be independently booted
My family had an Apple IIe and a Commodore 64 back in the day....

You're probably right. I didn't even really learn how to effectively use PCs until XP, but my first computer did use 95, and eventually 98.
Never really messed with 2000 though.

First of all it's back-slash - \
Secondly, it's only one back-slash. C:\
Third, what? No, you're stupid shut up.
Yeah, but to reference it in an address tag, you need to name the localhost, which you do with things like file:///, file://C/, C://, etc.
