I like how so far, nobody has asked for a game for christmas because we all went
"Well gee-wilikers I fancy I'd enjoy that game...to the shops!"
Geeks on a mission, unstoppable :-)
I'm gonna get money from the parents, which is going right into an beautiful EeePC netbook (1000H)
what i'm getting from the gf i've no idea. i'd guess something semi-good like a lamp or the other stuff i got the christmases before.
Something game-y from my Girlfriend (I have no idea what, I can't wait)
A bunch of older games I missed out on from my parents (GTA4, Okami Wii, R6: Vegas), and a wireless adapter for my 360.
Lots of traffic/monies from my blog too as January sales start hopefully.
Just picked up Persona 4 and Rune Factory 2 for the DS a couple days ago because I was too lazy to wait (if that even works?). Buying myself a 52" Samsung in the next day or so to replace my old 37" Viewsonic, plus from my parents getting a 200gigish external laptop drive and various gift cards from my sister/brother.
Being single and on my own has it's pro's and con's. Mainly I can buy what I want when I want it, but then the con is....that I'm single and on my own.
Had to actually argue with my parents this year because I didn't have anything to tell them regarding x-mas presents for me this year.
Well, I picked up Rock Band 2 last night with a gift card I got early. I'm pretty sure I'm getting Office Season 3, Rayman Rabbids 3 and maybe a DS game (I'm hoping maybe for Disgaea, but I'm happy with about anything).
We really trimmed down on Christmas this year because my wife was unemployed for a few months - but we still made sure our son is going to have a good Christmas. Frankly, his toys are as much fun for me to play with as him - he's 4 so he's getting into Legos, Batman, Spiderman, Transformers - all the stuff I like to play with too!
I'm kind of hoping for some Wii points too in the event that the Rock Band shop opens up soon...
I'm also hoping that in the new year to be able to get a 360 - but we'll see how that goes - bills first!
I might pick myself up a gamecube and a couple of games because they are going for the cheaps now-a-days. Might get an itouch, or just pick up a buttload of PC games.
Ive learned not to ask for too much after the bitter dissapointment of last year. I relived the confusion and giddyness of trying to explain what a N64 was to my grandparents again with the 360.
But come Christmas day there was a blocky heavy presant under the tree, of course i saved it for last letting my joy fill me completely.
It's not the most ideal time for Christmas, that's for sure. My cat needed surgery just a few days ago, so all our money was spent on him. He's our Christmas present. He's well worth it, but he can't be wrapped in a box so our tree will be empty, too.

I actually already got Populous DS for Christmas from my best friend. I don't care what the reviews say, I had a blast with that game then and I do now.
A hopefully HUGE smile on my 3 yr old son's face as he sees what santa brought him for Christmas.
He went to go see santa last weekend and told santa what he wanted. Santa then took a picture with him and gave him a coloring book. My son was so disappointed with this because he expected his toys RIGHT THEN that he moped around and said "this is no good, it needs to go in the trash."
I'm getting a Playstation 3. With Metal Gear Solid 4 and LittleBigPlanet.
It'll be the first console I've gotten for Christmas since...dammit...since the fucking SEGA Saturn (this isn't counting getting a PSP two years ago and a DS four years ago).

AWESOME. I expect much joy tomorrow morning.
We had the same thing last year with my son - he was 3 as well. He fully expected Santa to have his gifts waiting for him when he went to visit them. That's when we had the discussion that most Santas are really just helpers and that the real Santa is the one at Santa's Village (a theme park in New Hampshire) and on the Macy's parade on TV.
I got Banjo and Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts and Dokapon Kingdom last night from my fiance's parents. My fiance bought me a nice leather computer chair (I love her so much). Tomorrow I will be getting the loot of the century. I can feel it. :P
I also got tickets to go see Jeff Dunham RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from where I work. Which was awesome because I was going to buy them for my fiance for Christmas.

Oh I know. I'm stoked. It isn't till May 15th, but mannnnn. I'll bring another set of underwear.

If you've never seen him, he's great live. I was susprised how much solo stand up he does before even going to the puppets. He's also fun during late shows (at least when I've seen him in years past) because, well, he gets blasted, and just completely loses the "cleaner" image that he tends to put across a lot of the time. Of course I saw him in smaller clubs, and I hear he's doing stadiums and the like now, so he may have much less access to alcohol. I love my signed Walter though.

Oh nice. He's going to the Nutter Center (which is like my college's basketball place) so it'll be pretty big, and it's at 8pm so I am hoping it will be really good. All the stand ups I see of him are hilarious.
I don't believe that I'm getting anything game-wise this holiday, which is AOK by me. I've got plenty of leftovers from years gone by to tide me over. That is, until SF4 comes along.
My wife? Well, Santa is giving her WoW: Lich King and Animal Crossing City Folk, amongst other small tidbits of geekery for both her and her classroom.
Edit: Though, if Santa manages to pull enough bills out of his wallet for me, Newegg has some stunning deals on video cards...
Santa might bring me some money or useful things, but nothing G&T related.
I can only rely on myself for this, and even I don't think I'll buy anything. I got a big enough backlog as it is.

He is a riot live - we actually just saw him a few weeks ago for my wife's birthday. The guitar guy that plays on his Christmas album was the opener for the show and he was funny as hell too. You'll definately have a good time.

not really a game wish but that would be lovely too

PRACTICAL!
Hell no, my girlfriend is wonderful, she completely understands that she needs to share me with my electrical toys.
I'd have asked for it but I need money to bail me out of debt because of my PS3 purchase. Woo planning!
:P
