So I'm looking for a cake...

But not just any cake! I got engaged last night and I want to start thinking of planning our wedding.
I met my now-fiance on WoW. We are Horde so I really want a cool Horde wedding cake. I could probably make one myself, but I don't want to. I've seen the Ace of Cakes show, and that would be cool, but Duff charges a lot, and we live in Arizona, so the cost would be.. ridiculous.

Any thoughts?

Tomorrow's forecast: a few sprinkles of genius with a chance of DOOM!

A lot of cake places do stuff like Duff, even more so since seeing his show. Okay, maybe less do the super bizzare stuff, but he isn't the only one. He just has a TV show. Why not have a WoW themed grooms cake and a nice and pretty wedding cake.
Or, and I rather like this idea, get a very pretty wedding cake and get a cake topper made to look like your characters in a veil and top hat. Even better if the topper is a nice white. Isn't there a company out there that makes physical copies of your character? Then you can paint em white (maybe even request it).

I work at a supermarket and I saw a couple get a WoW cake made for their son's birthday a little while ago. Talk to your local supermarket/bakery/wherever you usually buy cakes. For something really elaborate it could end up costing a lot but to just make one with a WoW theme I can't see it costing that much more than a regular cake.

You can also look on Craigslist for cake ladies(or men). My wife got an amazing ballerina for her moms birthday.

    Saw this on google images:

Congrats to you both! We live in Chandler and have had difficult, fondant cakes done by :

    http://www.pieceofcakedesserts.com/index.html

    and

    http://www.honeymoonsweets.com/

Both were good and reasonably priced (not sure what you are considering to be outrageous.) Piece of Cake had the better tasting cake. Also friends had a cake from http://www.letthemeatcakeaz.com/ that was beautiful and tasted decent.

If you think a large full wedding guest size cake would be too expensive, you can get one for show that is a small 20 person size cake and sheet cake to serve.

And the print company that makes the character miniatures will do it in any outfit- so you could get the in game wedding dress and tux on your characters ;)
