Converting DVD's to iPod format

So, my wife got an iPod video, and wants to put some of our TV shows on it. Problem is, I can't find a single program that will convert from a DVD to .mp4. Several claim to, but none I've tried actually work. I'd prefer freeware, but if it works well, I'd consider paying for a program.

Barring that, one of the programs I downloaded does convert .avi files fine. So, if I can get a program that will convert DVD to .avi, I can take it from there.

If you use a mac, I highly recommend Handbrake

Says it'll do the trick with DVD Decrypter. Giving it a shot now, and I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks.

Videora appears to have worked. I'm going to go test the episode now. Thanks!
