So for Christmas this year I received new cpu, mobo, ram and video card. I was very excited but am now wondering what the optimal temperatures are and if my stuff is running too hot. Specs are
Amd Phenom Black 9600 series quad core 2.3 ghz
Asus M3A79-EM motherboard
Power supply is a BFG Tech GS Series ATX 12v 2.2
While just surfing the net and idle the temp is around 46c on the cpu and 40c on the mobo. The monitoring software that came with the motherboard is showing these temps are in the green. But when I start playing WoW or any other serious activity the cpu jumps to about 50-51c and the motherboard goes to 45c. The software shows a little warning and flashing the temp in red. Is it running too hot or am I being paranoid.
I have two extra fans in it. One in front for intake and one in the back for exhaust. Although the fans are several years old and small. Any suggestions or comments?
