Vista doesn't have any idea where windows is...or something
So I successfully reinstalled windows and everything seemed fine. But I took out the boot disk. When updates were downloaded and installed the computer wanted to restart so what the hell I let it do it. When it restarted it went to a black screen that said Boot MGR missing. I had it set to boot from CD first when reinstalling. So I changed it back to what it was before I reinstalled which was boot first from removable, boot from hard drive second and boot from cd third. But that didnt work. So I put the cd in, and changed it back to boot from CD as number one and it worked.
What do I need to do to make it boot without CD? Windows seems to be installed...so Im confused....
So the internets told me to do a system repair from startup, but it seems as though it can't find windows on my hard drive...or soemthing weird.
My windows installation is on C, but when I did the repair it only showed D, but D is pure storage, nothing is on D except some tv shows so that doesn't make sense at all.
So in summary, it will only boot up windows vista when the installation cd is in, but I can take the cd out after windows boots up and it runs fine. I'm at a loss for what's going on.
