here are the things to discuss:
1. did 2008 rule or suck for you and why.
2. are you doing anything fun for new year's eve.
3. what are your new year's resolutions.
2008 was a pretty EXTREME year for me and both ruled and sucked a whole lot. I think it sucked more than it ruled.
my new year's eve activities are partying till the breaka breaka dawn with one of my best friends in the greater boston area and finding at least one ice sculpture, preferably shaped like a bear.
my new year's resolutions include getting my credit out of the gutter, dedicating more time to creative pursuits, and getting a job that's either stable or super duper fun. (man new year's resolutions are always so boring.) also I want to shoot myself out of a cannon. (better)

Seriously, its the best choice Ive probly ever made in my life and I haven't regretted it for a second.
Ill probly be getting drunk with my friends while we do incredibly nerdy things like play Magic or somethin.
Resolutions? Well, I tend to not make them because I do ever follow through, but lets see, maybe I could go back to the gym, that would be nice. Lets say that, my new years resolution (which has approximately 0.002% chance of being followed) is to go back to the gym!

overall i will probably remember it as a shitty year
i dont have any worthwhile new year's plans, which will mostly just be a final shitty cap on the shitty year
that being said, i am not starving out on the street, so it's not all bad
oh, resolution is that if i get into the program to teach english in japan, i am going to brush up on my language skills before i leave and try to be functionally literate before i leave. and if i dont get in, resolution is to get out of my current job and move up to LA to try to sell my soul to the hollywood movie machine

The sucky parts were awful.
