if you have seen it, talk about seeing it
if you have not seen it, talk about why you haven't seen it
i am going to see it tonight
talk about how much i will be seeing it
the story doesnt sound that great, didnt really grab me when i heard about it
great movie though
the whole game show thing is done in a way that drives the story pretty well and adds to it without overwhelming it or anything
if that makes sense (i just woke up from heat after like 2 hours sleep from a night of nye drinking)
so if you were describing it briefly you could skip any mention of the gameshow because thats not what the movie is about
I still don't know what I think of Sunshine's villain. The movie was all setting itself up one way and then makes a sudden, violent right angle turn into another genre entirely. I liked the movie, I'm pretty sure.
DUDE WHAT THE GUCK IS GOOOOIIIIINNNNNGNNNGNNGNNGNNGNSJKJKSJJWBNSLFJLJFSSFJLKJ8IJLJKJL.SJFLLSFJFSJLSFJL ON??IM FREAKING THE FUCK OUT! BEETHOVEN HAS EATEN MY CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP AND NOW SINCE HE HAS WEAK STOMACH HE IS GOING TO PUKE EVERYWHERE!!!! ITS ON THE SOFA DUDE THAT FUCKING SUCKS THERE IS LIKE PUKE ON THE COUCH AND I HAVE TO SIT THERE TO WATCH TV AND STUFF AND NOW THERE IS GONNA BE PUKE ON MY BUTT DAMN GIANT FUCKING DOG IT PUKED EVERYWHERE DID YOU SEE IT? IT LIKE EXPLODED OUT OF ITS MOUTH AND WENT ON THE COUCH AND I HAD TO SIT ON IT... I WANT MY CHICKEN FUCKING SOUP
He was all like, "I HAVE TALKED TO GOD FOR SEVEN YEARS! HUMANITY MUST DIE ALONG WITH THE SUN!" And killed people with vibrating scalpels.
I actually thought it was rather tempered for a Boyle movie in that regard. I expected much more mindfuckery. As it turned out it was explained rather well, other than the very final scene which to be fair is allowed that level of weirdness because of the relation to the whole relativity thing traveling at that speed.
Still, I really enjoyed Sunshine. Crafted so well and for an almost implausibly low budget (something around 20 million which for a sci fi movie with that many effects is hilariously cheap)
In regards to Slumdog Millionaire, I think the movie is great. It is worth a watch for sure and certainly has a nice tone. The acting is decent but as mentioned, I think some plot elements are clumsily handled and it could have been better. The script I think is the weakest link, an awful lot of the dialogue felt woefully pedestrian at times.
I can't imagine being disappointed with it. It's good but I dont think it reaches the highs that, say, Millions did which deals with pretty much the same themes.
But I keep hearing it has a shitload of Oscar buzz especially for Boyle and I'm finding it hard to see that. Though it is certainly a good movie I think it is ultimately a bit of a letdown. It could have been great if some of the more tenuous stuff was resolved.
god the stupid indie theater closed early tonight so i didn't get to see it
i am glad that they didn't post it on their website and i drove half an hour just to find that out
i ended up just going to a party down there instead

The Who Wants to be a Millionaire Indian version is retardedly easy. If you chose the wrong answer the host asks you a dozen times if you are sure, while right answers will be accepted immediately. At least when it was on the air a few years ago.

This movie was fantastic. I was told basically nothing about it before I watched it, except that it was good and it was a sort of "rags to riches" story (the latter ended up not really being true, except superficially).
I also never realized just how terrible life is for a lot of Indians.

the only thing he said was "the man with the colt .45 has the power" or something
This movie is fantastic in every sense. Plot, Editing, Cinematography, Sound, it all comes together to form one of the best movie experiences of the year. My only regret is I saw it in a class from a DVD sent to guild and academy members and not in the theater.
As for the question thing...
He only picked Colt because that was a name familiar to him, nothing extraordinary about it... remember he wasn't playing to win, so he didn't care if it was right or wrong. He just went with the best guess he had besides randomly picking, and that was the knowledge that Colt is a revolver, maybe a guy named Colt invented it.

Oh Bogey, Keith has enough disappointment in his life.
You're so cruel.

it seemed a bit too convenient that Salim just happened to have a Colt .45 and Jamal just assumed that Colt invented it
I can think of two other old brands of revolvers off the top of my head
but I guess I'm nitpicking
