I was given a 3 dvd collection set of Gang of Daggers tonight. Anyone want a copy?

How amazing is this?

Tonight for New Years my friend presented me with a special present that he made.

Are you ready for this?

A three dvd set, complete with menus and extra features (pdf's of the Gang of Daggers drafts) of Gang of Daggers. This really is amazing. We are sitting here watching it now on his big screen. I know this wont make sense to to 100% of the human population but for the six of us who get it this might be the best thing ever.

If anyone wants a copy PM me, I guess for base shipping and a buck for the DVD I can send this out, I can't believe I am watching this.

If this is not the best forum section let me know, SE++ would cause this thread to blow up into nonsense in seconds ad G&T, well, it wont fit there.

    Explain? A google search just brings up some youtube videos and a link to someone in Writer's Block talking about how they are a writing a book with the same name.

    That's the main feature. All of the Youtube videos encoded in DVD format for play in any DVD player. I was in shock when he put it on. No one else in the room (women) understood what was happening but to us it was the greatest thing in the world.

    The problem is, if too many DVDs are given out, then it runs a risk of being all that remains of our society when archaeologists uncover us in thousands of years.

    Then he'll have got the last laugh.

    I have to admit I've heard people reference this (these?) and have no idea what they're talking about. I feel like I've somehow missed forum history. Does anyone have links that might explain what's going on?

    No, they are two different guys. Crane Operator was a joke that some people half assed tried to actually make a game out of it, Gang of Daggers is Sky, a guy who is really enthusiastic about pushing a project no one else is really enthusiastic about. Just do a search for OPs started by him and you should be able to find the whole thing.

    Crane Operator. Iknow the thread is more about gang of daggers, but i think this one is funnier.

    Yeah, here's the Writer's Block thread. I got a kick out of skimming through the thing. From seeing all the threads (there were at least three, including G&T and AC) the guy wants to make a whole franchise and...well, you just have to read it. If you don't have much time the last page or two sums things up well.

    He also had a habit of necroposting in year-old threads.

    Does the whole GoD have a wiki page? I'm afraid to check and find out. Let's see if I can summarize this:
    Gang of Daggers in a nutshell. A bunch of high school kids find a portal to a magical realm, go through, and become mighty warlords. The telling of this will be a 20 book (at least) series. It will also be a comic book.

    And an MMORPG.

    And a movie.

    Maybe even a TV series.

    There's nothing wrong with ambition, but after seeing just a couple of Sky's posts, or his complete inability to string together more than two words in any sort of coherent narrative, you see how his persistence become the stuff of tale.
