Well, getting books today here in Canada is a good place to start.:) However,

Justice League of America
The fight between the Milestone heroes and the Justice League

Justice Society of America
The final fate of the Kingdom Come Superman, and seeing his legacy carry on into the far future

Incognito
It was only the first issue, but it was good.

There may be more, but I havn't finished reading everything.

Late as hell but I just finished The Nightly News and sweet christ that was excellent.
    The goddamn lawyers indeed.

I guess I'm a terrible person for thinking a real person like that would be awesome.

If I have the scratch, I'm going to go the store Saturday and buy everything in my box. Should be about... 8 books? Maybe 7. The past two issues of Iron Fist, an issue of Final Crisis, maybe another issue of No Hero, maybe an issue or two of Fear Agent. And I am going to get Incognito. I forgot to ask for them to save me a copy, so I kind of hope it is sold out. Not because I don't want it, but because I want the book to do that well.

I read some spoilers for Teen Titans #66. There's some...interesting parts
Wendy (of Wendy & Marvin fame) is in a coma and their father is revealed to be the Calculator. Normally this wouldn't really be anything, but the solicits for the Oracle mini say that Calculator is trying to get remnants of Anti-Life to save his daughter. So I guess it's just neat that stuff is carrying over into other books?

Also it looks like Misfit is joining the team, probably.

Also also, Robin quit the team.

    That JSA stuff is beautiful.
I always knew they would drop him back at the very same moment, but I didn't know how powerful it would still be. I didn't realize how fucked up it was - "You're right, I'm going to go home and save everyone... Kara?" But then it keeps going, and I'm wondering why we're skipping ahead these ridiculous amounts of time, and then on the last page it all makes sense. MOTY 2009 contender, right there.

Now that was Epic. I'm assuming
that the funeral at the 20 years later part was for Bruce, right? And that that was Clark at the very end, watching the KC-version of the Legion come into being? Just making sure I got the gist of it correctly. Oh, and is flooded New York at the 200 year mark refereing to Kamandi, perhaps?

I can't remember who called it but they certainly did call it. Oh well. Guess it was inevitable but it feels like they've all done that to each other in so many alternate realities that its NOT really that shocking. Plus it took magic that noone else has ever had access to but the skrulls to convince him in the first place.

So far, I think Superman #683's ending is viable as my MOTW.
Setup: As forseen, some of Earth's biggest heroes as well as the Guardian and some Metropolis Science Police end up fighting some of the Kryptonians. Things look grim as Superman ends up getting dropped trying to solve things peacefully.

He might not want to for fear of being type-cast. By virtue of how awesome Scalped is, everyone suddenly wants him to turn his eye towards their gritty and hard-boiled characters. Dude might want to play around with Avengers or the Runaways or Power Pack.

Lot's of great moments in the comics I got today but my MotW is my friend's late Christmas present. He was in Florida at this dinky little comic shop and he somehow found a t-shirt with the New Frontier Flash logo on it. The sad part is I've only seen the NF cartoon but I'll definitely pick up the Absolute edition of the comic now.

yeah, but if he doesn't want to be identified with gritty, he shouldn't write comics where
a dozen infants get machine-gunned on christmas eve

though that would make a good power pack story line.

You're thinking of Giovanni Zatara, the guy in the picture is Zachary Zatara (Zatanna's cousin). He's only had cameos in a few comics so far though (52, Teen Titans and Superman from memory).

The original Zatara is dead; the current Zatara is his nephew, who has appeared in some Teen Titans issues, as well as the Atlas storyline in Superman. The guy in the image looks older, so I'm guessing the Shade.
