I got this huge memory leak!

I have this crusty old computer from 1998 that I want to run WoW on, but I don't have enough space, even though I have a 50GB hard drive! The computer says that I have 4GB left of space, but I have no clue where the other 40+ disappeared to. I deleted almost everything on the computer, I have no games except for one (GW, that takes up 800MB) and I deleted every game, every accessibility thing (I'm not fucking blind) and yet I still have no clue where that memory disappeared to. I didn't partition my drives, I only have the standard Windows XP C drive and it reads as having that grand 4GB out of 50GB remaining. Anyone know of any programs that can display more accurate information than Add/Remove Programs about memory usage on my computer? This is considering that Add/Remove Programs "lies" quite a lot sometimes.

1.) Reformatting and reinstalling Windows isn't a bad idea in this situation. You might get a decent performance boost too.
2.) "Memory" generally refers to RAM and "Memory leaks" usually means some program is taking RAM and not giving it up, degrading performance until you reboot.

Thanks! I figured out that I had a program that was something like 3GB of space that I wanted to delete but never could (it was an installation folder) and I didn't realize it. Also, my podcasts (that I never listen to) and some other programs were taking up lots of space. With this, I have reserved 55% of the space of my hard drive (25 GB) which is more than enough. Thank you very much. :)

EDIT: I now have 66% of space freed, and if you gave me a link without a name, how would I know what it was used for?

Also, I'm not going to reformat, considering that now I actually have enough space and I do have important things on this computer. It was a productivity computer before I got my new Mac, but I wanted WoW on both computers, even though the Mac can run the game on almost full specs and the other can barely run minimum.

I would probably just reformat, especially if you don't have much on there anyways to worry about backing up.

Yea, best part is after the format you can just go and grab all the newest drivers for everything without worrying about getting rid of the old ones.
