Frost/Nixon is nowhere to be found

Hey all,

There seems to only be one theater playing Frost/Nixon anywhere on Long Island, according to online resources at least. What's the deal here? I'm sure the full release already occurred, no?

Lots of movies get staggered releases. I think it's just so they can get it in on time for Oscar nominations.

Milk, The Wrestler, Gran Torino are examples I can think off. Just wait a couple of weeks and I'll be playing more widely.

It was supposed to get a wider release in the US on the 26th, but I haven't seen it open in many places aside from the few theaters that have been playing it since its limited run.

I would make the drive to Long Island if you want to catch it in theaters. It's an excellent film.

They want to make the per-theater sales very high so, like the brilliant people they are, they limited the release. Lots of Oscar contenders try this. It's silly!

I love on LI also, and I haven't seen it playing anywhere.

Well, it's apparently at UA in Farmingdale. My Dad and I are gonna make the drive out there, grab lunch at the 56th, and see us some Oscar-worthy film.
