    Holy shit, Tag is amazing.

The loading screens seem screwy on my comp though.

It's called The Swan. It's made with Unity but it's only available in Macs. :(

About Guardian of Paradise... I played it and really liked it but got stuck and gave up. I had no clues :|

Wow. Tag was fantastic. Loved the concept, and the art direction was pretty superb too. Shame it's so short.

I'm going to second this one. It's very Zelda-esque and fairly well polished. The game revolves largely around its magic system to solve puzzles. Each enemy drops different colors of mana which you use to cast various spells. But the trick is that the spell you can cast is the one you just grabbed.

I played through a few levels of Eversion on the weekend, but I got stuck at the uh... “hands” (is that being spoilery? I don’t think so). I just can’t get the movements right. I might plug my 360 controller in tonight and try it out with that.

You should be able to do it with the keyboard.
The only bit that damages you is the red bit. You have to jump through the black part at some point. Apart from that just be careful around the red parts. It is slightly tricky, but be careful and it's not too bad.

There was a video of the creator (or one of them) presenting the game in Japan, I can't remember where I saw it though. It does look amazing. However it is pretty much under development with no word of a release yet isn't it? And I don't know where the whole Mac but not PC thing came from, I certainly can't find info saying that.

Yeah, I played a quick burst of it last night, and I found it a little easier with a gamepad.
I know only the red parts of the hands hurt me, and I know what I need to do to get past them, but I have a habit of jumping too early or too late. The one where you have to creep to the end of the ledge (so the hand jumps out) then jump, stumps me completely. Even a gentle tap of the right key seems to send him hurtling forward a couple of feet.

YES Dyson is totally rad! I would describe it as some sort of crazy simplified fast-paced version of Sins of a Solar Empire. There are little planets, and you have ships (called seedlings) and you send them off to attack other planets. It reminds me of Sins in that combat only takes place at the planets, and in the way that you have to slowly progress through the galaxy/universe/whatever. So you send your seedlings off to a planet, they attack and take it over, then you use up some of your seedlings to plant a tree which then creates more seedlings.
It's pretty awesome, and I think it's still a work-in-progress so if they could somehow implement multiplayer it would be the best thing ever.

Nethack, it makes the most sense and if you friends aren't mega nerds(i.e post on PA) then they might be afraid of anything D&D relation.

I was just pointing out that Nethack falls much further down the geek spectrum then D&D does.

This all seems a bit silly. I would never recommend a game as a sexy lovechild between a ridiculously old game and a ridiculously hard/nerdy game. Just say it's really good and describe what it's about. It's not as if you're making a life choice.

Well, it'll be more of a case of a small challenge that everyone attempts and then posts evidence of. It was done before with things like levels from Sonic, I believe. It's the kind of thing you can attempt again and again to get better at.

I just want it to be free, and fun.
