The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I'd like to start a blog, but I'm worried that what I've got to say might interfere with future employment in my field. So, I'd like to write under a pseudonym. What steps should I take to ensure maximum separation from anything with my legal name on it? I'll be using Blogger.
The account will be tied to an email address, register a new one on Gmail with the pseudonym. Obviously you should also fill in all the Blogger account details with fake information.
That should pretty much put you in the clear, though if it became a legal matter and the courts got involved...they could demand your IP address from Blogger and it could be tracked to your home internet connection. But nobody should do that unless you start talking about specific companies and individuals and they come to the attention of said company.
If you just don't want it to be tracked back to you when a future employer looks you up online, that should do it.
