So after the whole unpleasentness that was the Writer's Strike, 24 is back! Get ready for more loud whispering, backstabbing and Chloe being strangely alluring.
Day 7 (Shamelessy stolen from Wikipedia)
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wRVnRNngelU
A major national security incident occurs when the firewall responsible for protecting America's government computer infrastructure is breached. It will also feature the show's first female president, Allison Taylor, played by Cherry Jones. It is thought that this will be the first season not to feature CTU, because it appears to have been disbanded by the U.S. government at some point after the events of Season 6. It also appears that Tony Almeida will be returning to appear as the main antagonist of season seven, despite being previously thought to be deceased.
Day 7 will begin airing in the US and Canada on January 11th with a two hour special and in the UK and Ireland on January 12th.
24: Redemptionhttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7Sb5_39w_Uo
A prequel to Day 7, this episode takes place during a presidential inauguration and is split between the fictional African nation Sangala and the United States: in Sangala, Jack Bauer finds himself caught up in a military coup while trying to find a place where he can 'be at peace'; and in the United States, where President-elect Allison Taylor is being sworn in to office. The movie takes place in real-time, covering two hours, 3:00 to 5:00 PM, local time.
Talk about 24 and junk!

Please don't suck like last season.
Amen.
24 is good, but I think it's starting to get old. We'll see how this season goes. Redemption was pretty good.
Don't get me wrong, season 6 wasn't the greatest. But it was nowhere near as bad as season 3.

Apparently they're toning down the torture this season, at public request, which I take as a good sign.

Redemption was quite good. Hopefully it's a sign.

Then I did some Google searching and also found out that Kiefer Sutherland burninated his own action figure, delaying its release for a full year.
I believe the one Kiefer destroyed was a far more awesome (and expensive) prototype of one of the high-range figures like this one:
Speaking of Kiefer being awesome though, he trashed the Christmas Tree in one of the most expensive hotels in London a few years back:
Awesome

They said that season 6 would be better than season 5 too.
Oh shit, reading that made my day.
I can totally believe that of him though.
This season is looking good but i'm worried about there being no CTU for jack to fall back on. So i'm wondering what place Chloe falls into. Also the return of Bill, fantastic

sigh
I have also recently had my own little epiphany that 24 is to the IT crowd what Star Trek has been to the physicist/scientist crowd.

I really loved season 3. Season 3 had the ultimate Triangle of Jack, Tony and Chase, which was awesome and Kim was dealt with nicely at CTU - she was out of the way, she had a bit of a storyline with Chase but mostly she was phased out as the season went on. I wish they'd bring back Chase. They really actually had someone who could take over from Kiefer there if he decided to stop and they wanted to continue with the show but for some reason didn't. Bring back Chase
For me the order of love is...
5 > 2 > 3 > 1 > 4 > 6
4 has some great characters, great set pieces and some great sections but as an overall season it's just not as good as any of the others.
Oh, and (returning character spoilers)

Of course she'd god damn return, her movie career took a nose dive. God damn idiot.

Because I honestly will never voluntarily watch Fox news, so 24 is my only real way of seeing how Fox is, politically.
Also day 2 had a mountain lion so that brings it up a bit.
