I need a way to convert PDF to word format quickly, I tried copying and pasting what I need but it keeps coming out as gibberish in word and notepad. Help

I would like to put something clever and about me but I fear my company will find it

If it's on the internet you could view it in html through google.

Foxit reader also has a "conver pdf" option under the file menu, but I haven't tried it.

Well... google didn't do much better:

You can get Foxit Reader here. The feature you look for isn't free ($35), but maybe they'll let you at least test if it works.

edit: you can always take screenshots and embed them as .gif/.png in the text file... unless you can't, I haven't used word in a long time.

It's because the equations are rendered in the BCSYMA font, which you don't have installed. However, if you have an FTP client, you can get it from:

    ftp://ftp.cnr.colostate.edu/surviv/fonts/

Sadly, I had difficulty opening this URL in IE, but it will probably be OK in Firefox or FileZilla or somesuch.

Note that you'll still probably lose formatting.

You can copy the equations as bitmap graphics by selecting them with the area-select tool and probably paste them into Word that way, though...

Open Office just converts from its internal format to PDF, not the other way around.

Try PDFTOHTML... drag a pdf file onto the executable and it'll turn it into an html file.
