HI I got this mp3 off of a friend years ago but have lost the high quality file.

Anyone know who the band could possibly be?

    Not even close, minibosses have a real drummer, and don't use that much crunch. It was probably just a submission to dwelling of the duels which you can find here. They delete a lot of the old mp3s though. Anyways there's a lot better out there, like the minibosses(which is not the one mentioned).

    Is it even legal to bump threads this old here? I bet the original guy isn't even alive or something. But the link is still active..

    That isn't the Minibosses and it's nothing I've ever heard.. and I've heard quite a bit by now as I created the whole Dwelling of Duels thing.

    Anyway, it sounds like it might actually be well done midi guitars.. you get people like SSH who can make them sounds fairly distinguishable from the real thing.. if it isn't that then it's probably some guy doing a one-shot demo for fun.

    Actually I registered to post in another topic that was locked before I could, about game soundtracks. And it's nice to have a board account here, the one I had previously is far defunct (lost the pw and it's an ancient unusable email account).

    Anyway, I am doubting this is on OCR too, wouldn't fit their standards IMHO. Maybe something on VGMix 1 or 2 but I do think I would have run into it then.. my friends and I used to collect these kinds of tracks religiously.
