Most just have an on switch that starts boiling water.

Only fucking pansies would have that.

one of my favorite things about living in Granada were the teterías (Moorish tearooms) which were amazing

I only took one picture inside of one which is remarkable for the amount of time I spent hanging out there
I can't help imagining innocent little bits hanging out in an opium den staring listlessly at the walls

different teas should in fact be brewed at different temperature if you actually care about the resulting taste

just because something works, doesn't mean you can't do better
would you rather a hospital use surgical methods from the 1900s, or modern procedures? they both worked.

wait yeah i just boil a kettle of water no matter what
are you really supposed to boil water differently for different teas
that is way more work than i'm willing to be put through.

Also when I drink my early grey/ any other boring tea i drink it white with 3-4 teaspoons of splenda
am i bad at tea or what

of course the consequences in my example are vastly out of scale with making tea, but my point still stands that it's stupid to ridicule someone for doing something better just because your method "works"

    Yes!

I actually originally picked it up purely on the basis of its front cover, and was really pleasantly surprised by the contents.

Heyah, Janson. How do you feel about Miss Marple? Best old lady detective?

Also Ten Little Indians was so good.
Miss Marple is pretty great; I liked the new TV adaptations

My favourite book of hers has neither Poirot nor Miss Marple, however!

I think I read Ten Little Indians (which was originally even more racist!) but cannot remember it

Well, all of the tea we have bought has had temperature recommendations right there on the tin. :)

Yes, and as we said in the OP, we have one! Courtesy of Mori's sister.

There just has to be an alcoholic tea out there. $10 says it was designed by the Irish.

Edit: Brilliant thought! Ginn and tea! Can they be mixed effectively?!

They certainly look different, but the texture is actually very similar

Graham crackers also make an excellent substitute for crushed digestives as a cheesecake/banoffi pie/etc. base; I couldn't tell the difference myself

Chocolate hobnobs shall be acquired tomorrow for roleplaying! Hopefully...last year the selection in the British store wasn't fantastic, but we were visiting at Christmas time
