I want to know what you would choose.

I drive a 2003 Grand Prix GT. Interior dash lighting is orange/redish.

The new one on top current one on bottom.

I ask this because I want my Ipod to be used again and CDs scratch easy, blank discs get expensive, and are hard to switch while driving.

On the other hand the steering wheel controls will become inop with a new stereo and I like the set up. Runs about $79.99. Plus labor.

The top one is okay but I don't really like insigna as a brand. I bought a new head unit for my '05 elantra last year.

This is it. Works great and JVC is a good brand for audio equipment.

IIRC, there is an adapter you can buy for like 20 bucks when you're getting your stereo installed that will let you use the stuff like volume and whatnot if it's built in the steering wheel. My car doesn't have one, so i'm golden.

GOING FROM WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT WANTING TO USE AN IPOD!

I highly reccomend Alpines brand of Ipod designed head units. I have one in my car and the sound quality is awesome, and the build quality is great. If you're going to get one i'd reccomend splurging and getting the most expensive one. It's really worth it if you have alot of music on your ipod.

If you're not considering getting an actual ipod adapter, why not get the stock head unit and a wired FM modulator? You can get them so they piggy back the antenna and you get virtually no loss of sound quality.
